Greater Ontario lodging data shows significate growth
Below is the lodging data for Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga for the reporting month of February 2016. Ontario Limited Services hotels show significant growth in ADR and REVPAR. Rancho Cucamonga hotels showing see growth in ADR and REVPAR. Both Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga hotels sacrificed occupancy with higher ADR. Ontario ADR went up 11.8% and RC ADR went up 8% compare to February 2015. This is the right direction we are heading resulting in higher revenue overall.
Until three years ago this well positioned venue was utilized more for community events and trade shows. When the City of Ontario built the venue an objective was made - to attract convention attendees, usually from out of the area, to stimulate the local economy with not only hotel room stays but additional dollars were expected to be spent in restaurants and retail stores. The Ontario Convention Center is managed by SMG Worldwide Venue Management.

A five month search for the new CEO to take the controls at Ontario International Airport Authority has concluded with the nomination of Kelly J. Fredericks. With 33 years of experience in aviation, Fredericks has a background working with airport authorities and overall is touted as the right guy for the job. Currently living in the New England region, Fredericks will make the move to Southern California and is expected to begin his new job later this year.
Road to California is the premiere Quilters’ Conference & Showcase west of the Rocky Mountains! Drawing over 39,000 attendees from all over the world, Road to California features over 500 vendor booths, displays more than 900 quilts from all over the globe, and awards over $92,000 in prizes. The show has expanded to meet the needs of its diverse quilting audience utilizing every square inch of the Ontario Convention Center, and spilling over into the neighboring DoubleTree, Ayres and Radisson Hotels.
The International Tour Management Institute (ITMI) will conduct its 29th annual symposium January 24th to 28th, 2016, at the Doubletree by Hilton in Ontario, California. This also marks the 40th anniversary for ITMI, the premier school for professional tour directors, guides and travel staff.
