In the midst of record-breaking growth, the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau elected to increase effectiveness by appointing an in-house public relations and communications expert to direct and coordinate all of the organization’s future communications needs.
The following article was published in the quarterly newsletter, “Model Colony News,” published this month by Ontario Heritage, a nonprofit advocacy organization established to protect, preserve and promote the history and cultural heritage of the city. A bigger and better Christmas on Euclid Experience will be coming to Ontario this holiday, complete with two days of activities and a twinkling exhibition of festive and iconic decorations on display throughout the holiday season.
Greater Ontario is doing the holidays in a big way this season with an expanded Christmas on Euclid Experience lasting from Dec. 5 through Jan. 2.
Twinkling lights, illuminated reindeer, and gigantic ornament displays will line historic Euclid Avenue throughout the season, setting the stage for weekly holiday markets, live performances, and a wonderland of winter experiences including snow play and ice-skating.
Ontario Town Square’s weekly Market Night will debut from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, with an evening of music, dance and merchants selling fresh produce, crafts and more.

California Welcome Center Returns to Ontario Mills

ONTARIO -- A California Welcome Center, which will help market the region to tourists, is set to make its return to the Ontario Mills this fall, after the closure of the welcome center in San Bernardino last year.
The City of Ontario and the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau are teaming up with top-line entertainers and the popular Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion to kick off the official grand opening of Ontario Town Square on Friday, Sept. 19 in the heart of the city’s historic downtown district.
The 2014 Firefighter Combat Challenge is entering its third and final day of competition Saturday, August 23. Read what the Daily Bulletin had to say about the event, which was relocated from Los Angeles to Ontario due to logistical problems:
The Southern California edition of the Firefighter Combat Challenge is being held at Ontario Mills Friday and Saturday.
Firefighters from around the world will still be able to compete this August in the Scott’s Safety Firefighter Combat Challenge in California, thanks to some quick scrambling between event organizers, the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau and Ontario Mills, the newly announced location for the contest.
