Ontario Convention Center installing electric vehicle charging stations

The City of Ontario and SoCal Edison have begun installing electric vehicle charging stations in Lot B at the Ontario Convention Center. According too Southern California Edison “Changing the way you drive business” – what a great way to think about it! Providing a place to charge a vehicle is going the extra mile in customer service.

Southern California Edison set a goal in 2016 to increase the number of public electric vehicle charging stations in California by 16 percent.The investor-owned utility received approval from the California Public Utilities Commission to spend $22 million to offset the cost of installing 1,500 public charging stations at workplaces and multi-unit apartment and condominium complexes within its 50,000-square-mile service area. We are proud to be part of the program to help increase the number of EV charging stations in California to 11,114.  As more and more people are purchasing electric cars or hybrids this is a premium service we can offer our guests. And there is more coming – watch for future installations at Citizens Business Bank Arena.
