Rugged Respite

1. Settle in for a heaping breakfast at Corky’s Kitchen & Bakery in Rancho Cucamonga. Try their yummy biscuits and gravy or one of their sticky-sweet cinnamon rolls.

2. Afterward, lace up your hiking boots and head out to explore the North Etiwanda Preserve in the foothills above Rancho Cucamonga, where you’ll be able to view native wildlife and plants, as well as the remnants of early pioneer settlements.

3. After lunch, make your way to Victoria Gardens and the massive Bass Pro Shops’ Outdoor World. Gaze upon the fish in the multi-story aquarium, and then take a turn in the store’s shooting range. The kids will be able to shoot ’em up in their own range upstairs.

4. Cap off this day with a nature film on the giant Imax screen at Ontario Mills, where you will also be able to grab a bite at any of the dozens of restaurants nearby.
